Functional Features It runs deterministic control cycle for PID, ratio, cascade and custom interlock logic. It reads analog and digital input signals from remote I/O paddle cards. It calculates control output values and sends commands to output modules. It captures real-time alarm status and diagnostic fault information of local rack devices. It supports online configuration download and parameter modification from engineering workstation. It provides front panel LED indicators for power, run status and module fault. It supports hot swap replacement in redundant rack configuration. It retains configuration data after power interruption. It monitors bus communication timeout and data parity error.
Application Scenarios Petrochemical plant TDC 3000 continuous process control cabinet Refinery distillation unit legacy DCS control rack Power plant boiler auxiliary TDC 300 control system Natural gas processing station sequence interlock control Chemical batch reactor old-generation DCS control node

Material Composition FR4 flame retardant conformal coated multilayer PCB 32-bit industrial logic processor chip Flash memory and SRAM memory chips Bus communication transceiver components Watchdog fault monitoring circuit Gold plated edge connector for rack backplane Metal front panel with extraction handle and multi-color LED indicators UL94 V-0 plastic locking buckle
Structural Features Standard TDC 3000 plug-in paddle card form factor. Front metal panel integrates power, run and fault LED indicators plus extraction handle. Rear gold plated edge connector mates with rack backplane power and control bus. Internal PCB layout separates high-speed logic circuit and low-voltage signal bus circuit to reduce electromagnetic interference. Anti-key notch prevents reverse insertion into rack slot. Locking clip secures module firmly after installation. Internal shielding structure suppresses signal crosstalk between adjacent cards.
Working Principle After power on, the module completes power-on self-test and initializes backplane bus communication. It loads control strategy downloaded from TDC 3000 engineering station into runtime memory. It receives field I/O values from paddle cards in each control cycle. It executes configured control and interlock algorithms and generates output commands. It uploads process variables, alarm events and diagnostic status to system communication modules and operator station. If hardware fault or bus communication failure is detected, the module triggers fault alarm and locks output to predefined safe state.
Installation Requirements Wear anti-static wrist strap before handling and installation. Insert the module into designated vacant slot of TDC 3000 rack and align anti-key notch. Lock front extraction handle after full insertion. Complete module address and control logic configuration in TDC 3000 engineering software. Download matching control strategy and parameter set. Power on rack and wait for run LED steady on. Verify communication status with I/O paddle cards and system node. Test interlock and control loop function before commissioning.
Usage Notes Do not insert the module into incompatible rack slot. Keep anti-static protection during transportation and replacement. Do not cut off rack power during online configuration download. Back up control configuration file before module replacement. Do not open module housing or modify internal PCB components. Avoid scratching gold plated edge connector contacts.
