Installation Requirements Align the FTA rear connector with the I/O card front port, press evenly until fully seated. Mount the FTA bracket to the rack upright screws. Wire field switch contacts to labeled terminal points. Check channel LED status after field power-up, confirm contact state matches expected position.
Usage Notes Never apply AC high voltage to 24 V DC channel terminals, this destroys the TVS protection diodes. Detachable terminal blocks must be fully locked; loose connections cause intermittent signal dropout. TVS diodes require replacement after a severe surge event, even if visually undamaged. Never bypass on-board fuses, this removes short circuit protection for downstream I/O cards.
