Honeywell 51309206-175

Product Introduction This pulse input and frequency measurement module is a special high-speed pulse acquisition card for Honeywell TDC3000 UCN I/O rack. Revision 175 optimizes signal shaping circuit and extends anti-interference capability for field pulse sensors. It receives pulse signals from turbine flow meters, rotary encoders and shaft speed probes. It counts pulse edges, calculates frequency, rotation speed and accumulated total value, converts raw pulse data into engineering flow or speed values and transmits data to rack IOP processor. It provides high-precision flow totalization and rotating equipment speed monitoring.

Performance Parameters Pulse Counting Resolution: 1 pulse Frequency Measurement Accuracy: ±0.04% FS Channel Sampling Interval: 40μs Totalizer Data Retention: 72 hours after power loss

Material Composition PCB Substrate: High-TG flame-retardant FR-4 multi-layer glass fiber board High-speed optocoupler isolation chips FPGA high-speed pulse counting logic chip Signal shaping and threshold comparison components Gold-plated back edge fingers Gold-plated field terminal contacts Cold-rolled steel front panel with electrostatic spray coating

Structural Features Standard European pluggable card structure, installed in dedicated high-speed I/O slot of UCN rack. Front panel is equipped with run indicator light, fault indicator light and individual channel pulse indicator lights. Field wiring terminals are arranged on the side panel for pulse sensor wiring. High-speed signal traces adopt controlled impedance layout to prevent signal distortion. Isolation components are placed between field input zone and internal counting logic zone.

Working Principle Pulse signals from field sensors enter the module through shielded cables. The optocoupler isolates field loop and internal counting circuit. The signal shaping circuit converts irregular pulse waveform into clean square wave signal. The FPGA chip counts rising or falling edges and calculates frequency and accumulated pulse value. The scaling logic converts pulse count into flow rate, total flow or rotation speed according to configured factor. It sends calculated engineering values and fault status to the rack IOP processor through backplane bus. It records pulse loss and wiring fault events with time stamp.

Installation Requirements Insert the module vertically into the dedicated high-speed I/O slot of UCN rack and tighten fixing screws. Connect pulse sensor shielded twisted pair cables to the corresponding terminals following signal polarity. Ground the shielding layer at the module side only. Download pulse scaling, unit and debounce parameters from Control Builder software after power on. Verify frequency reading and totalizer accumulation function on the HPM diagnostic screen.

Precautions Release static electricity before plugging the module to protect high-speed counting FPGA chip. Input signal frequency cannot exceed 25kHz upper limit, which causes counting loss. Pulse cables must be separated from high-power inverter output cables to avoid interference. Loose terminal contacts lead to missing pulse and inaccurate totalization. This module cannot be used for standard 4-20mA analog signal acquisition.
