Functional Features It receives bus signal from main processor rack and reshapes signal waveform for expansion rack transmission. It amplifies bus driving current to support multi-rack cascaded connection. It provides electrical isolation between main rack bus and expansion rack bus. It monitors bus signal integrity and detects bus short-circuit fault. It carries front panel LED indicators for power, bus active and fault. It blocks short-circuit fault in expansion rack from spreading to main processor rack. It supports hot swap of expansion rack bus cable. It uploads bus fault and signal distortion alarm to TDC3000 operator station.
Application Scenarios Large TDC3000 system multi-rack I/O expansion interface Petrochemical plant multi-cabinet TDC3000 control system Refinery distributed I/O rack bus extension Power plant boiler multi-rack measurement and control system Chemical plant large point quantity control node

Material Composition FR4 flame retardant conformal coated multilayer PCB Bus signal reshaping and driving chip array Isolation transformer and optocoupler components Bus fault detection circuit TVS surge suppression components Gold plated edge connector for main rack backplane Metal front panel with extraction handle, LED indicators and expansion terminal block
Structural Features Standard paddle card form factor. Front panel integrates expansion bus terminal block and grouped LED indicators plus extraction handle. Rear gold plated edge connector mates with main rack backplane power and control bus. Internal PCB layout separates input bus circuit and output expansion bus circuit with isolation barrier. Anti-key notch prevents reverse insertion into rack slot. Locking clip secures module firmly after installation. Independent current limiting circuit protects each expansion bus channel.
Working Principle After power on, the module receives clock, address and data signal from main rack backplane bus. Signal reshaping circuit recovers distorted signal waveform and driving circuit amplifies signal current. Regenerated bus signal is sent to cascaded I/O expansion racks via expansion terminal block. If short circuit or signal loss is detected on expansion bus, isolation circuit cuts off signal path and fault flag is generated. Fault in expansion rack cannot propagate to main processor rack. Fault information is uploaded to operator station.
Installation Requirements Wear anti-static wrist strap before inserting module into dedicated bus extension slot of main rack. Lock extraction handle after alignment. Connect shielded multi-core expansion bus cable to expansion terminal block. Install bus terminator resistor at the end of last expansion rack. Power on rack and verify bus active LED steady on. Insert I/O cards in expansion racks and confirm processor recognition. Test fault isolation function by short-circuit test on expansion bus.
Usage Notes Do not cascade expansion racks beyond maximum 4 racks limit. Use dedicated shielded expansion bus cable. Do not apply external voltage to expansion bus terminals. Keep expansion bus cable separated from high voltage AC power cable. Replace module when bus signal cannot be transmitted to expansion racks.
