Description
Honeywell 51401952-100
Technical Specifications Bus Interface: LCN coaxial bus, BNC connector Communication Rate: 5Mbps Backplane Interface: Node local parallel backplane bus Power Supply: 5V DC Power Consumption: 9.0W Operating Temperature Range: 0℃ to 60℃ Storage Temperature Range: -40℃ to 85℃ Isolation Withstand Voltage: 1500V AC
Functional Features Hardware LCN protocol processing completes message encoding, decoding and CRC verification. Built-in signal conditioning and driving circuit improve signal quality for long coaxial branches. It monitors LCN signal amplitude, on-board memory and transceiver chip continuously and uploads fault information. It receives network clock signal to maintain system time synchronization. It supports hot swap. Built-in signal equalization circuit reduces waveform distortion for different branch cable lengths.
Application Scenarios GUS operator station and engineer station access to LCN network. Communication channel replacement for HM history module, AM application module and CG control gateway. Node expansion and old interface board replacement for legacy TPS LCN network. Spare replacement for nodes with frequent offline and communication jitter.
Performance Parameters Message Forwarding Latency: ≤65μs Clock Synchronization Precision: ±1ms Maximum Branch Cable Length: 150m
Material Composition PCB Substrate: Low-loss high-frequency FR-4 multi-layer board with equal-length RF traces LCN protocol processing FPGA chip Differential RF transceiver chip Gold-plated back edge fingers Gold-plated BNC coaxial connectors Aluminum alloy front panel with anodized treatment
Structural Features Standard European pluggable card, installed in dedicated slot of GUS, HM or AM node rack. Front panel equipped with run indicator, fault indicator and LCN link indicator. Two BNC coaxial connectors on the side for series connection into LCN bus. RF signal area adopts full shielding layout to isolate digital noise inside the node.
Working Principle The module receives operation commands and historical data from node backplane, encapsulates data into LCN standard frames and sends frames to LCN coaxial bus. It receives frames from other LCN nodes, decodes serial data and converts to parallel backplane signals for node main control unit. It continuously samples bus signal amplitude and error count, and reports fault status to network diagnostic module.
Installation Requirements Insert the module vertically into node rack slot and tighten fixing screws. Adopt 50Ω dedicated RF coaxial cables for LCN wiring. Tighten BNC connectors. Install 50Ω terminators at two physical ends of the whole LCN bus. Check signal amplitude and error count on LCN diagnostic screen after power on. For redundant node architecture, two interface modules connect to two independent LCN buses separately.
Precautions Release static electricity before plugging to protect RF transceiver chip. BNC connector oxidation and cable extrusion will cause signal attenuation. This module is only suitable for upper LCN nodes and cannot be used for HPM or APM UCN controllers. Firmware version must match the whole TPS system version. Version mismatch will lead to node offline. Follow RF cable bending radius specification and avoid sharp folding.
