Functional Features It converts network protocol data into backplane bus data format for local S9000 rack modules. It packages data from local control modules and transmits to upper network for operator stations and engineering workstations. It continuously sends heartbeat packet to monitor network link health. It supports dual redundant network path and automatic seamless switchover. It filters invalid broadcast packet to reduce network bandwidth load. It uploads module fault, link loss and communication timeout alarm to S9000 operator station. It supports hot swap replacement without host control node shutdown. It synchronizes network time stamp for all process data packets. It provides front panel LED indicators for power, primary link, standby link and fault status.
Application Scenarios S9000 network node rack interface Petrochemical plant redundant control network node Refinery operator station communication node Power plant legacy network gateway rack Chemical plant batch process control system network interface

Material Composition FR4 flame retardant conformal coated multilayer PCB Network protocol FPGA processing chip Dual network PHY transceiver chips Network isolation transformers Flash memory and SDRAM memory chips TVS surge protection components Gold plated edge connector for rack backplane Metal front panel with extraction handle and LED indicators
Structural Features Standard paddle card form factor. Front panel integrates dual network cable terminals and four status LED indicators, plus extraction handle. Rear gold finger connector mates with rack backplane power and data bus. Internal PCB layout isolates high-speed network signal circuit from backplane logic circuit to reduce electromagnetic interference. Anti-key notch prevents reverse insertion. Locking buckle secures module in rack slot. Internal shielding reduces crosstalk between two network channels.
Working Principle After power supply from rack backplane, the module loads communication firmware and establishes two independent logical links to primary and standby network channels. It receives data packet from host control modules via backplane bus and sends packet through active network channel. It receives command packet from upper network and transmits to host control logic board. When heartbeat packet loss is detected on one channel, the module automatically switches all communication traffic to standby channel immediately. Built-in diagnostic circuit monitors hardware failure and link abnormality, and sends fault alarm to operator station.
Installation Requirements Wear anti-static wrist strap before installation. Insert module into vacant communication slot of rack and lock front handle. Connect specified impedance matching network cable to primary and standby network ports. Power on rack and wait for self-test cycle to complete. Verify online status on engineering station. Configure network node address and communication parameters. Test redundant switchover function by disconnecting one network cable.
Usage Notes Handle module with anti-static protection all the time. Do not scratch gold plated contact surface of edge connector. Use specified impedance matching cable for network wiring. Avoid high vibration and high temperature cabinet environment. Do not open or modify internal circuit components.
