Material Composition High precision low noise FR4 PCB 16-bit ADC and DAC chips HART modulation and demodulation chips Optocoupler isolation array TVS surge protection components ABS flame retardant front panel with channel marking Tri-color LED indicators for each channel Metal rack locking buckle

Structural Features Standard HC900 plug-in module outline. Front panel contains 16 channel tri-color LED indicators and power/fault indicator. Side anti-misalignment notch prevents reverse insertion. Rear gold finger contacts connect to rack backplane bus. Wiring terminal area separated from high precision analog circuit zone. Lock clip fixes the module firmly on rack.

Working Principle HC900 controller sends channel configuration parameters to the module FPGA chip. FPGA switches internal signal circuit to match assigned channel type. For analog input, ADC converts field signal into digital value and upload to controller. For analog output, DAC converts digital command from controller into 4-20mA or voltage signal. For digital channels, circuit collects or outputs discrete 24VDC signal. HART circuit superimposes digital signal on analog loop for smart device communication. The module continuously monitors each channel status and reports fault information.

Installation Requirements Power off rack before inserting module. Align anti-misalignment notch and insert into empty slot, lock buckle. Connect field wiring to corresponding terminals. Configure each channel type, range and fault safe mode in Process Control Designer software. Power on rack and calibrate analog channels if required. Use shielded twisted pair cable for analog and HART signal. Separate signal cable from high power cable.

Usage Notes Do not mix high voltage AC signal into any channel terminal. HART loop must retain 250Ω matching resistor for communication. Analog signal wiring must use shielded twisted pair. Static protection required during module replacement. Do not use this module for intrinsically safe circuit without approved isolation barrier.
