Description
Honeywell CC-PAIX02
Technical Specifications Channel configuration: 16 channels, including 12 single-ended channels and 4 differential channels; input signal ranges include 4-20mA, 1-5VDC, 0-5VDC, 0.4-2VDC; A/D resolution is 16 bits; backplane 24VDC power supply; operating temperature 0℃~60℃; storage temperature -40℃~85℃; humidity 5%~95% non-condensing; support HART 5/6/7 protocol; each channel has independent galvanic isolation; it has open wire and overload diagnosis.
Functional Features It realizes synchronous acquisition of analog control signal and HART digital information. Each channel has independent signal conditioning circuit. It supports non-incendive loop power supply for two-wire HART transmitters. It can identify transmitter fault, loop disconnection and over-range signal. It supports hot swap and redundant configuration. The module status and channel alarm can be displayed on Experion HMI. It can filter power frequency interference through hardware single-pole RC filter.
Application Scenarios Precision flow, pressure and liquid level measurement loop acquisition in petrochemical main units; smart HART transmitter signal collection of heating furnace temperature control system; process parameter monitoring of natural gas compression station; batch reaction tank analog signal acquisition in fine chemical industry; online monitoring of sewage discharge parameters.
Performance Parameters Full-scale accuracy is ±0.075%; common mode rejection ratio reaches 70dB under DC to 60Hz; filter -3dB cutoff frequency is 6.5Hz; maximum differential input withstand voltage is ±30V without damage; HART digital signal transmission does not affect the stability of analog control loop; data transmission adopts CRC check.
Material Composition Multi-layer FR4 flame retardant PCB with G3 conformal coating. Gold-plated contact for backplane connector. Front panel flame retardant PC plastic. Industrial grade HART modem chip and high-precision reference voltage source. Surge suppression components are integrated on each input channel.
Structural Characteristics Series C single-slot vertical plug-in card. Front panel integrates power, operation, network communication and fault LED indicators. Spring buckles on both sides for rack locking. Fool-proof positioning protrusion, which cannot be installed into digital IOTA base. Passive heat dissipation design. The rear connector is in butt joint with dedicated TAIX series termination base.
Working Principle The 4-20mA or voltage signal from the field HART transmitter enters the matching CC-TAIX01 non-redundant IOTA or CC-TAIX11 redundant IOTA. The signal is conditioned and sent to CC-PAIX02. The module completes analog-to-digital conversion and separates HART digital signal superimposed on the current loop. The primary measurement value and HART equipment diagnostic information are uploaded to the C300 controller through the backplane bus. The module judges loop fault by detecting the change of loop impedance.
Installation Requirements Install vertically on Series C I/O rack and pair with supporting TAIX series IOTA base. HART instrument signal cable adopts shielded twisted pair, and the shielding layer is grounded at one point in the control cabinet. Analog signal cables and power cables are separated for wiring. The grounding resistance of control cabinet is controlled below 4Ω. Ensure sufficient ventilation space around the module slot.
Usage Notes The HART address of field smart instrument must be set before loop commissioning. When the module is replaced online, record the calibration parameters of the relevant loop in advance. It is forbidden to access AC high voltage signal to analog input channel. When multiple HART instruments share the same cable, strictly follow HART multi-drop wiring specifications.
