Honeywell CC-TAIN11

Product Introduction CC-TAIN11 is redundant non-HART high-level analog input IOTA base for Honeywell Experion PKS Series C I/O system. It matches redundant high-level analog input IOM modules without HART function, designed for standard 4-20mA and 0-10V analog transmitters that do not support HART digital communication. It provides centralized field signal wiring, signal filtering and surge suppression, and supports 1:1 redundant I/O hot-swap for high-availability analog measurement loops.

Description

Honeywell CC-TAIN11

Technical Specifications 16 channels of non-HART high-level analog signal termination; supports 4-20mA current signal and 0-10V voltage signal; per-channel passive RC filter and transient suppression components; rated signal loop voltage 24VDC; power supply 24VDC from rack backplane; operating temperature 0℃ to 60℃; storage temperature -40℃ to 85℃; relative humidity 5% to 95% non-condensing; dual redundant IOM compatible; rack slot mounting; UL and CE certification.

Functional Features It collects non-HART analog transmitter field cables to numbered screw terminal blocks. It filters high-frequency electromagnetic noise superimposed on analog measurement lines. It absorbs transient voltage surge from field instrument wiring. It routes analog signals to two redundant IOM modules at the same time through backplane connector. It supports hot-swap of either redundant IOM without disconnecting field analog loops. It executes channel fault diagnosis for open circuit and short circuit of analog signal lines.

Application Scenarios Redundant non-HART pressure transmitter termination for power plant boiler control cabinets; standard 4-20mA flow signal junction for water treatment critical measurement loops; redundant analog signal wiring base for pulp and paper DCS control systems; important process variable termination for chemical plant auxiliary control loops without HART instrument requirement.

Performance Parameters Analog signal linearity error meets Experion high-level AI module specification; passive filter will not introduce obvious signal delay for conventional control loops; surge suppression response time meets industrial transient protection requirement; redundant switching will not cause analog value jump.

Material Composition Housing is flame retardant polycarbonate; circuit substrate is FR4 flame retardant PCB with conformal coating; terminal screws and shrapnel are tin-plated copper alloy; filter resistors, capacitors and surge devices are industrial grade; backplane contact pins are gold-plated; metal fixing clip adopts zinc-plated cold rolled steel.

Structural Characteristics Redundant rack-mount termination base; front face with numbered screw terminals and signal range marking; rear dual backplane connectors for primary and standby IOM cards; mechanical fool-proof keying to avoid mismatched IOM installation; side elastic latches for locking to rack rail; compact layout suitable for dense cabinet wiring.

Working Principle Field non-HART analog transmitters connect to the terminals of CC-TAIN11. 4-20mA or 0-10V signals pass through built-in surge suppression and RC filter circuits, then transmit to redundant paired analog input IOM modules via backplane. The IOTA does not carry HART coupling circuit, it only completes signal transfer, noise filtering and surge protection. When the primary IOM fails, the standby IOM continues acquiring analog measurement value without interruption.

Installation Requirements Mount the IOTA base on standard Experion rack rails. Confirm keying notch matches non-HART redundant high-level AI IOM module. Select shielded twisted pair cable for field analog transmitters. Keep analog signal cables separated from AC power cables. Tighten terminal screws according to official torque requirement. Ensure reliable cabinet protective grounding.

Usage Notes This IOTA cannot support HART digital communication, HART transmitters must use CC-TAIX11 series IOTA. Do not apply low-level millivolt or RTD signals to this high-level termination base. Wear anti-static wrist strap during IOM hot-swap. Test redundant switchover function after commissioning. Regularly check terminal tightness to prevent poor contact and measurement drift.
