Functional Features Three independent sensors operate separately with adjustable gain and threshold. It provides electronic self-check function without mechanical shutter. Built-in touch screen menu supports local configuration, calibration, parameter adjustment and fault code reading. It records flame event, fault log and sensor health data inside non-volatile memory. It filters static hot background radiation and flickering light interference. It supports remote parameter configuration and real-time status reading via Modbus communication. It provides configurable flame on delay and flame loss delay. It sends fault alarm signal when sensor aging, wiring breakage or internal circuit failure occurs. It supports fuel type selection for gas, oil and coal combustion monitoring.
Application Scenarios Industrial boiler multi-fuel burner flame monitoring Heater and furnace flame detection in petrochemical plant Waste incinerator combustion flame supervision Gas turbine auxiliary burner flame monitoring Refinery process heater flame safety interlock system

Material Composition Cast aluminum alloy explosion-proof housing UVTron ultraviolet sensing tube, IR solid-state infrared sensor and UVSS sensor SMT signal conditioning and main control PCB Touch screen LCD display module Fluorine rubber sealing O-rings PTFE protective optical window Shielded pigtail cable assembly Metal threaded process mounting fitting
Structural Features Compact integrated explosion-proof housing combining viewing head and processor. Front touch screen panel is protected by scratch resistant optical window. Rear threaded fitting is designed for burner sighting pipe installation. Internal independent optical channel separates three sensors to avoid optical crosstalk. Internal PCB is conformal coated for corrosion and humidity resistance. Sealing structure maintains IP66 and explosion-proof integrity. PF variant has fixed pigtail cable without quick disconnect connector.
Working Principle Flame radiation enters optical window and reaches three independent sensors. UVTron detects ultraviolet radiation from gas flame, IR sensor detects infrared flicker of oil and coal flame, UVSS enhances discrimination against interference sources. Each sensor converts radiation signal into electrical signal. Embedded processor analyzes flicker frequency, amplitude and spectral characteristics of received signal. It compares measured characteristics with pre-configured flame profile. When flame feature matches threshold, flame relay activates and 4-20mA output rises to flame present value. If signal loss or abnormal sensor status is detected, fault relay triggers alarm and fault code is displayed on touch screen. Modbus channel transmits real-time status and diagnostic data to burner management system.
Installation Requirements Mount detector on burner sighting pipe, align optical axis directly to flame core area. Avoid direct exposure to sunlight, hot refractory and external flickering light source. Route pigtail cable through cable gland and complete shielding grounding. Connect 24VDC power supply, relay interlock wiring and Modbus communication cable. Power on detector and complete warm-up period. Select fuel type, flicker filter and delay parameters via touch screen. Perform flame test with normal burner ignition and verify relay and analog output action. Tighten all sealing components to maintain explosion-proof and IP66 rating.
Usage Notes Optical window must be cleaned regularly to remove dust and carbon deposit. Do not open explosion-proof housing in hazardous classified area. Calibration and parameter modification must be completed by qualified burner safety technician. Replace sensor assembly when sensor aging warning appears. Verify flame loss interlock function during every boiler annual inspection.
