Working Principle Three-phase AC mains power enters HP4-1D-T-S1139 power stage. SCR rectifier converts fixed AC voltage into adjustable DC voltage output to DC motor armature. Drive controller receives speed command from operator control station, compares command speed with tachometer feedback signal, adjusts SCR firing angle to change DC output voltage. The motor rotates at target speed and torque. Field loss monitoring circuit continuously checks motor field excitation current. If field current disappears or current exceeds threshold, drive cuts armature power and triggers fault alarm.
Installation Requirements
- Mount drive vertically inside control cabinet with sufficient top and bottom clearance for airflow.
- Use heavy gauge shielded cable for DC motor armature and field wiring.
- Separate motor power cable from low voltage control signal cable.
- Complete protective earth connection for metal drive housing.
- Set motor rated parameters, speed limit and overload threshold after wiring completion.
- Test emergency stop and travel limit interlock circuit.
- Verify tachometer feedback wiring polarity before load test.
Usage Notes
- Do not operate drive with cooling fan failure.
- Keep cabinet air inlet filter clean to prevent dust accumulation blocking airflow.
- Do not connect motor load exceeding drive rated current specification.
- Backup parameter settings before firmware upgrade or configuration modification.
- Disconnect AC input power and discharge internal capacitors before opening wiring terminals.
- Use anti-static wristband when handling control board components.
- Replace drive immediately when permanent power stage or control hardware fault occurs.
