Metso D201126L

Product Introduction D201126L is a rack analogue input module with conformal coating for Metso MAX control system. It samples 4-20 mA or voltage analogue signals from field transmitters, converts analogue values to digital data and transfers measurement values to rack CPU over backplane bus. The L version supports humid, dusty and corrosive plant cabinet environments.

Metso D201126L

Technical Specifications Power sourced from rack 28 V DC backplane; multi-channel analogue input for 4-20 mA and voltage signals; overvoltage and overcurrent protection on each channel; operating temperature -20 ℃ to +70 ℃; PCB full conformal coating; rack plug-in compatible with Metso MAX backplane; per-channel status LED indicators; input signal noise filtering hardware.

Functional Features Per-channel analogue-to-digital conversion; configurable signal type and scaling parameters stored in non-volatile memory; open-circuit detection for 4-20 mA transmitter loops; channel fault reporting to DCS CPU; hardware low-pass filtering suppresses high-frequency field noise; front panel LED shows active and fault state for each input channel.

Application Scenarios Pulp mill flow, level and pressure transmitter signal acquisition, mineral processing plant density measurement, water treatment plant pH and turbidity monitoring, paper machine process analogue signal collection.

Material Composition Flame-retardant plastic module housing; FR4 measurement PCB with conformal coating; precision analogue reference components; opto-isolation circuits; gold-plated backplane edge connector; removable screw terminal blocks for field transmitter wiring.

Structural Characteristics Rack plug-in module; front panel with channel status LEDs and removable field terminal block; rear edge gold finger mates with Metso MAX rack bus; analogue front-end circuits isolated from rack digital logic circuits.

Working Principle Field analogue transmitter current or voltage signal enters module input terminals. Signal conditioning circuit filters noise and scales amplitude. ADC converts analogue signal to digital numerical value. Digital measurement data transmits to rack CPU via backplane bus. Open-loop diagnostic circuit detects loss of transmitter current and reports channel fault.

Installation Requirements Install module in unpowered Metso MAX rack; wire field 4-20 mA transmitters to channel terminals; configure signal range and engineering unit scaling in DCS engineering station; separate analogue field cables from high-power motor wiring; torque terminal screws to specified torque.

Operation Notes Calibrate channel zero and span after installation or transmitter replacement; inspect terminal block for corrosion in pulp mill environments; confirm loop power supply configuration matches transmitter requirement; do not remove terminal block while field transmitter loop remains energised.
