Working Principle The IndraDrive servo drive outputs three-phase variable-frequency AC current to the stator winding. The rotating magnetic field drives the permanent magnet rotor to rotate synchronously. The multi-turn absolute encoder continuously feeds rotor angular position and total revolution count back to the drive. The drive executes closed-loop current, speed, and position control algorithms to precisely match motor shaft motion to the host motion command.
Installation Requirements
- Mount motor flange on rigid flat mechanical bracket
- Align coupling concentricity within allowed tolerance
- Use double-shielded servo power cable and shielded encoder cable
- Reserve air convection space around motor housing
- Maintain ambient temperature between -20 °C and +40 °C
- Perform motor identification and auto-tuning in Rexroth drive software after wiring
- Establish reliable protective earth connection
- Ensure mounting bolts are torqued to specification
Precautions
- Prevent radial and axial overload on the output shaft
- Cable shield termination must follow Rexroth wiring instructions
- Do not disassemble the encoder assembly
- Stop operation immediately if abnormal noise or overheating is detected
- Store spare motors in dry shockproof packaging
- Check bearing temperature during continuous high-duty-cycle operation
- Do not apply mechanical impact to the encoder end
- Protect the shaft surface from corrosion during storage
