- Compact block style module for field mounting
- LED status indicators for each I/O channel
- Separate connectors for VARAN bus, Ethernet and field I/O wiring
- Sealed housing structure for field harsh environment
Working Principle: Field switch signals enter digital input channels and pass through optocoupler isolation. Module scans all input channels and transmits status data to SIGMATEK main CPU via VARAN bus. The module receives output commands from main controller and drives digital output channels to actuate field devices. Built-in circuit monitors each channel for overvoltage and short circuit faults and sends fault alarm to main controller.
Installation Requirements:
- Mount on machine frame or field mounting plate
- Use shielded cable for VARAN bus connection
- Keep module away from strong electromagnetic interference sources
- Ensure cable connectors are fully sealed to maintain IP67 rating
- Connect 24V DC power supply within rated voltage range
Usage Notes:
- Verify field signal type before wiring
- Do not connect voltage exceeding 24V DC to I/O channels
- Check connector sealing condition periodically
- Prevent mechanical impact to module housing
- Disconnect power supply before unplugging field connectors
