Structural Features
Compact modular housing designed for DIN rail mounting alongside other DIAS modules, DIAS local bus connector for power distribution to adjacent modules, AC or DC input terminal block for power connection, LED indicators for power-on status and fault conditions, ventilation slots for passive cooling, mounting clips for secure DIN rail installation, clearly labeled terminals and indicators for easy identification
Working Principle
The DPS001 receives AC or DC input power and converts it to a regulated DC 24 V output. For AC input, the module rectifies and filters the AC voltage, then uses a switching regulator to produce the stable DC output. For DC input, a DC-DC converter stage regulates the voltage to the required 24 V level. The output power is distributed to the DIAS local bus, supplying all connected I/O modules in the station. Built-in protection circuits continuously monitor output current, voltage, and internal temperature. If overcurrent, short circuit, overtemperature, or input voltage anomalies are detected, the module activates protective shutdown to prevent damage. LED indicators provide visual feedback on power status and any fault conditions.
Installation Requirements
Verify the module is undamaged and all accessories are complete before installation
Mount the module on a DIN rail in the control cabinet as the first or designated power module in the DIAS station
Connect the AC or DC input power to the designated input terminals using appropriately sized cables
Ensure the input voltage is within the specified range (AC 85-265 V or DC 24 V) before applying power
Connect the DIAS local bus by attaching adjacent modules to distribute power to the station
Ensure proper grounding of the module and the control cabinet
Verify that the total current draw of all connected DIAS modules does not exceed the DPS001 output current rating
Perform functional testing to verify correct output voltage and proper operation of all connected modules
Usage Precautions
Ensure all input power connections are secure and properly insulated before applying power
Do not exceed the rated output current capacity of the module
Monitor the LED indicators for any fault conditions such as overtemperature or overcurrent
Ensure adequate ventilation around the module to maintain operating temperature within specified limits
Keep the module clean and free of dust accumulation that could impair cooling
Handle the module with care during installation to avoid damage to connectors and electronic components
Back up system configuration before making changes to the power supply setup
