Description
Woodward 8540-565
Technical Specifications:
- Input Signal: Standard 4-20mA or 0-10V DC control signals.
- Output Type: Linear displacement or angular displacement.
- Protection Rating: IP65 (dust-tight and protected against water jets).
Functional Features:
- High-Precision Positioning: Utilizes closed-loop feedback control to achieve micron-level positioning accuracy.
- Hydraulic Amplification: Features an internal hydraulic amplification stage, allowing a small electrical signal to drive massive mechanical loads.
- Rapid Response: Extremely short step response times to meet the fast-regulation demands of steam turbines.
Application Scenarios:
Widely applied in large-scale steam turbines, gas turbines, industrial engines, and servo systems requiring high thrust and high-precision control.
Performance Parameters:
- Operating Pressure: 7.0 MPa to 14.0 MPa.
- Frequency Response: Bandwidth exceeding 30Hz.
- Static Oil Consumption: Extremely low, meeting strict energy-saving requirements.
Material Composition:
The valve body is precision-cast from high-strength alloy steel. Internal spools and sleeves undergo specialized heat treatment and precision grinding. Seals are made from oil-resistant, high-temperature specialty fluoroelastomers.
Structural Features:
Features a modular design with separate pilot and main valves for easy on-site maintenance. Includes a built-in Linear Variable Differential Transformer (LVDT) for position feedback.
Working Principle:
It receives electrical signals from a controller (such as 505 or MicroNet). The pilot valve first performs electro-mechanical conversion to generate a micro-hydraulic pilot flow, which pushes the main spool to open the high-pressure oil circuit, thereby driving the external actuator.
Installation Requirements:
Must be installed in hydraulic systems with cleanliness meeting NAS 1638 Class 6 or ISO 4406 15/12 standards. Installation must ensure strict coaxial alignment to avoid lateral stress.
Usage Precautions:
Never disassemble the unit while the system is pressurized. Hydraulic oil must be filtered regularly to prevent micro-particles from jamming the precision spool. Zero and gain calibration must strictly follow the manufacturer’s manual during commissioning.
