Working Principle
Continuously compares the signals from three independent speed sensors. If two or more sensors indicate an overspeed condition, the system instantly de-energizes the trip relays to shut down the prime mover.
Installation Requirements
Install sensors with proper spacing and shielding. Wire the trip relays directly to the turbine shutdown solenoids.
Precautions for Use
Never bypass the ProTech 203 system. Conduct regular functional tests as required by safety regulations and site procedures.
