Termination Unit TA563 (most common if with H203/H204 DI/DO):The TA563 is the base mechanical/electrical unit​ onto which S100 I/O modules (SPDI13, SPDO13, SPAI03, SPCIS22…) snap. It provides:

Guide rails & end stops S100 bus bars (5 V logic, 24 V UP, AGND, PE) Screw terminals for 24 V DC PSU input (to SPU01 which mounts on left of TA563) & field wiring (for AI/AO modules — TA567 analog terminal block snaps onto TA563)

Description

    • Dimensions: ≈45 mm (W per module slot) ×119(H)×102(D); accepts up to 12 S100 modules per TA563 (some high-density limit to fewer)
    • Material: Glass-filled PA66, nickel-plated brass PE bar
    • Installation:​ Mount on DIN rail → snap in SPU01(left end) → connect 24 V DC → snap in I/O modules → if remote S100 (via SPCJ4D34) install SPCJ4D34 on first TA563; terminate S100 bus with 95 Ω plug (on SPU01 jumper if last node)
    • Precaution:​ Ensure 24 V DC polarity correct & fused; do NOT exceed total 5 V logic current of rack (PPD115/SPU01 rating); verify S100 bus termination at true last node.

    B. SPU01 S100 I/O Power Supply & Bus Terminator (if “209” = PSU):

    • See earlier TC630 (SPU01) description — provides 5 V DC logic + 24 V UP to S100 bus, contains 95 Ω terminator (enable via jumper if last node)
    • Mounts leftmost on TA563
    • Input 24 V DC (18–30 V); Output 5 V DC (≤3 A typ.), UP pass-through
    • Indicators: Input PWR (green), 5 V OK (green), Fault (red)
    • Size PSU for ∑ module currents (DI/DO ~50–150 mA logic each + DO relay coil current if powered from UP terminal — count separately)
