Working Principle
The converter accepts AC or DC input voltage and converts it into two regulated isolated 24.7 V DC outputs. Power factor correction reduces input harmonic current and improves grid compatibility. The isolated output stages supply independent 24 V DC loads while preventing ground loops and fault propagation between circuits. Protection circuits monitor output current and temperature, and the conformal coated PCB improves reliability in humid or contaminated environments.
Installation Requirements
Mount on a 35 mm DIN rail in a ventilated control cabinet
Ensure ambient temperature remains within -40 to 60 °C
Provide adequate clearance for convection cooling
Connect input power according to AC or DC wiring requirements
Connect output loads to the correct output terminals
Do not exceed 5 A per output channel
Ensure cabinet grounding meets local electrical codes
Verify input voltage range before energizing
Use appropriate cable sizes for load current
Confirm compatibility with the ABB system when used under the 3BHL000986P7002 reference
Usage Precautions
Do not exceed the rated output current
Do not block ventilation surfaces
Avoid installation near high-heat components
Verify isolated output configuration before parallel connection
Do not operate with damaged terminals or housing
Check input voltage compatibility for AC and DC applications
Follow UL 508 and local electrical installation rules
Use only manufacturer-approved replacements
Refer to the Bel Power Solutions datasheet and ABB documentation for final wiring and approval data
