Description
ABB PFTL301E (3BSE019050R10001)
- Technical Specifications:
- Input Compatibility: Pressductor® PFRL / PFCL / PFBK families; Strain-gauge bridge 1.5–4 mV/V, 120–1000 Ω
- Excitation (SG mode): 5 V DC or 10 V DC selectable
- Outputs:
- Analog: 0/4–20 mA (≤500 Ω), 0–10 V (≥10 kΩ load) — simultaneously available on some versions
- Optional Fieldbus: Modbus RTU (RS-485), Profibus PA (FF H1 also available on -F variant)
- Display: Backlit alphanumeric LCD — shows tension value, % of FS, diagnostics, menu
- Zero / Span: Via front keypad (auto-zero, tare), or via software; password-protected menus
- Damping: Digital filter 0–10 s (1st order / moving average)
- Sensor Break / Overrange: Flag via analog output saturation (≤2 mA or ≥22 mA on 4–20 mA) + display icon
- Power Supply: 100–240 V AC 50/60 Hz or 24 V DC (model dependent)
- Mounting: 35 mm DIN rail
- Dimensions: ≈45 mm (W) × 110 mm (H) × 120 mm (D)
- Operating Temp.: –10 °C to +55 °C
- Certifications: CE, UL, cUL, (some versions IECEx/ATEX for associated apparatus with IS barrier)
- Functional Features:
- Digital calibration — no trim pots; enter sensor rated load, perform zero with roll installed (no web), optionally do 1-point or 2-point calibration with known test weight
- Roll weight compensation (tare) — auto-subtracts dead weight of measuring roll
- Dual-range / dual-alarm setpoints (hi/lo tension alarm relays — on relay-output versions)
- Self-diagnosis — open sensor, shorted leads, overrange, underrange all indicated
- Can replace older PFSA140 in retrofit — offers digital setup & bus communication
- Application / Material / Structure / Working Principle / Installation / Precautions:
- Same application as PFSA140 but with digital config & bus option — preferred for new installs
- Install on DIN rail; wire sensor (Pressductor multi-pin or SG 4-wire); connect analog out to drive/PLC; optionally connect RS-485 for remote monitoring/calibration via ABB Tension Software or plant MES
- From front panel: select sensor type → enter rated load (kN/N) → mount roll, remove web → press “Zero” → web on → read tension
- Precaution: If using with Pressductor sensor — select “Pressductor” input in menu; if SG — select “Strain Gauge” and correct mV/V & bridge resistance. Wrong selection → incorrect scaling. Keep firmware version documented for spare replacement.
