Product Brief:​ The RDCU-12C is the main control unit (CPU + I/O + gate-driver interface)​ inside ABB’s 7th-generation drives (ACS880, ACS580, ACS380). It executes Direct Torque Control (DTC) — estimating motor flux & torque every 25 µs — manages motor ID, parameter sets (2 motors), PID control, and communicates with the plant via built-in Ethernet (Modbus TCP / EtherNet/IP / PROFINET — model dependent) or via fieldbus daughter card on RDCO-04C (Profibus DP, DeviceNet, etc.).
