roduct Brief:​ The RMIO-11C is the standard I/O carrier / mezzanine board​ that comes pre-installed (or as option) on the RDCU-12C control unit of ACS880 / ACS850 / ACS580 drives. It provides:

  • Headers for NAIO-03F​ (3 AI + 2 AO)
  • Header for NIOC-02​ (6 DI + 2 DO expander — some DI/DO are on RDCU-12C itself; RMIO adds extra)
  • Slot for fieldbus daughter cards (RPBA-01 Profibus DP, REBA-01 EtherNet/IP, MFEA-01 Modbus TCP/RTU, etc.) — same cards as used with RDCO-04C
  • Buffered signal conditioning for onboard DI/DO of RDCU-12C

    RMIO-11C itself is not a separate intelligence board​ — it is the physical interconnect & buffer between RDCU-12C and the I/O / fieldbus option cards. The “C” suffix denotes revision / component grade (conformal coat, EMC improved vs. early versions).

    • Power: Derived from RDCU-12C (5 V / 24 V DC)
    • Mounting: Plugs vertically onto RDCU-12C (top mezzanine — single slot on most RDCU-12C)
    • Operating Temp.: Same as drive control unit (–20 °C to +60 °C)
    • Dimensions: ≈80 × 60 mm PCB
  • Functional Features / Application / Material / Structure / Working Principle / Installation / Precautions:
    • Standard on ACS880-01/04/31 — if optional analog I/O or extra DI/DO needed, plug NAIO-03F / NIOC-02 onto RMIO-11C
    • For fieldbus communication (Profibus DP, EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP) — plug daughter card into RMIO-11C slot
    • After installation: power up drive → Parameter 51.02 “Option Board Scan” → drive detects RMIO-11C + attached boards → assign AI/AO/DI/DO functions in Groups 15/16/10/11
    • Precaution:​ Handle by edges — ESD sensitive; power down drive before inserting/removing mezzanine or option cards. RMIO-11C is NOT interchangeable with RDCO-03 (ACS800 gen) — fits only RDCU-12C (ACS880/ACS850 gen). After replacing RDCU (which includes RMIO-11C typically as assembled unit) re-download parameters & verify option scan.
