- Baud Rate: Supports up to 12 Mbps.
- Data Exchange: Cyclic process data and acyclic parameter/configuration data.
- Addressing: Hardware DIP switches or software-configurable node addresses.
Functional Features:
- High-Speed Communication: Deterministic, low-latency data exchange for real-time control.
- Diagnostic Integration: Comprehensive bus diagnostics, including station status and parameter response reporting.
- Plug-and-Play: Easy integration with standard PROFIBUS configuration tools (e.g., GSD file integration).
- Bus Termination: Built-in, switchable bus termination resistors.
Application Scenarios:
- Integrating ABB remote I/O or specialized controllers into Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or other PROFIBUS master systems.
- Distributed automation architectures in manufacturing and packaging.
- Upgrading legacy control systems with modern fieldbus connectivity.
Material Composition & Structural Characteristics:
- Connectors: Standard 9-pin D-Sub connector for PROFIBUS DP network connection.
- Status Indicators: LEDs for bus communication status, power, and error conditions.
- Form Factor: Compact module designed for standard industrial control racks.
Working Principle:
The RXPPK continuously listens to the PROFIBUS DP bus for master requests. It retrieves local process data from the backplane, formats it according to the PROFIBUS protocol, and transmits it to the master. Conversely, it receives control commands from the master and writes them to the local controller’s memory.
Installation Requirements:
- Use certified PROFIBUS DP cables with proper shielding.
- Ensure correct bus termination at both physical ends of the network segment.
- Import the corresponding GSD file into the master system configuration tool.
Usage Precautions:
- Verify the baud rate and node address match the master system configuration.
- Keep PROFIBUS cables separated from high-voltage power cables to maintain signal integrity.
