Working Principle After the driver is loaded in the industrial PC operating system, the card communicates with the PC through PCI bus. The onboard protocol processor encapsulates and decodes Siemens S7 protocol frames, exchanges data with S7 PLC on the field bus, and transmits collected PLC data to user application software running on PC.
Installation Requirements Power off the industrial PC and open the case. Insert the card into an available PCI slot and fasten the metal baffle screw. Install the supporting driver and configuration software in the PC operating system. Connect the field communication cable between the card port and S7 PLC communication port. Configure PLC node address and data area mapping in configuration software, then test read and write function.
Precautions for Use Take anti-static protection before touching the circuit card. Do not hot plug the card when the industrial PC is powered on. Use shielded communication cables for field bus wiring. Save card configuration files for backup.
