Working Principle: Wafer handling equipment sends raw device data and status signals to HS80-01 gateway. The embedded processor converts equipment native protocol data into SECS/GEM standard message format and transmits to factory host via Ethernet. Host commands from fab control system are parsed and converted into device-compatible commands and forwarded to wafer handling equipment. All data is temporarily cached in internal memory. Communication status and equipment alarms are monitored and indicated by front panel LEDs.

Installation Requirements:

  • Mount gateway on internal wall of semiconductor equipment cabinet
  • Use ESD safe tools and wristband during installation in cleanroom
  • Connect shielded Ethernet cable between gateway and factory host network
  • Use shielded twisted pair cable for equipment communication wiring
  • Supply 24 VDC power and connect protective earth
  • Keep ambient temperature within 10 °C to +40 °C
  • Maintain clean airflow and avoid dust accumulation on ventilation grille

Usage Notes:

  • Complete SECS/GEM parameter configuration before connecting to fab host
  • Verify network IP address and communication handshake settings
  • Regularly inspect cooling fan operation and clean ventilation grille
  • Disconnect power before opening metal housing cover
  • Use ESD protection measures for all maintenance operations in cleanroom
  • Backup gateway configuration before firmware update
