Structural Characteristics
Same 8mm diameter cylindrical form factor as other 330101 probes. The distinguishing feature is the longer 1.0 meter integrated cable, which provides additional routing flexibility.
Working Principle
Eddy current induction principle identical to all 3300 XL 8mm proximity probes. The probe coil impedance changes proportionally to the gap distance between the probe tip and the conductive target surface.
Installation Requirements
The total system electrical length (probe cable + extension cable) must match the Proximitor rating. With a 1.0 meter probe cable, the extension cable length must be selected accordingly to achieve the correct total system length (5.0m or 9.0m). Follow hazardous area installation requirements for certified components.
Usage Notes
When selecting the extension cable, ensure the combined electrical length of the 1.0 meter probe cable plus the extension cable exactly matches the Proximitor’s rated system length. Using an incorrect total cable length will result in measurement errors.
