Performance Parameters

  • Sensitivity: Typically 7.87 mV/μm (200 mV/mil)
  • Operating Temperature: -52°C to +177°C
  • Frequency Response: DC to 10 kHz

Material Composition
Probe tip encapsulated in high-temperature PPS engineering plastic via secondary injection molding. Coil sealed for enhanced strength and sealing.

Structural Characteristics
Cylindrical probe body with precision-machined sensing face, integrated high-frequency cable, and protective jacket.

Working Principle
Based on the eddy current effect. When energized, the proximitors generate a high-frequency magnetic field. As a metallic conductor (shaft) approaches the probe tip, eddy currents are induced, changing the coil’s impedance. This change is proportional to the distance between the probe and the shaft.

Installation Requirements
Must be mounted in a tapped hole on the bearing housing. Maintain proper installation gap (typically -9V to -11V DC gap voltage). Use appropriate thread sealant if required.

Precautions for Use
Avoid damaging the probe tip during installation. Ensure the extension cable is properly connected and secured. Do not exceed the specified bending radius for the cable.
