Material Composition
The sensor housing is precision-machined from 316L stainless steel, providing superior corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. The internal piezoelectric crystal is hermetically sealed to protect against moisture and chemical exposure.
Structural Characteristics
Features a compact, low-profile cylindrical design with an integral cable exit or connector. The rigid mounting base ensures optimal mechanical coupling to the machine casing for accurate high-frequency signal transmission.
Working Principle
Operates on the piezoelectric effect. A seismic mass applies force to a piezoelectric crystal during vibration. The crystal generates a proportional electrical charge, which is converted into a low-impedance voltage signal by an internal microelectronic amplifier.
Installation Requirements
Must be securely mounted to a clean, flat, and unpainted machined surface on the machine casing. Use the specified torque value for the 1/2-20 UNF stud to ensure optimal mechanical resonance and signal fidelity.
Usage Precautions
Avoid exposing the sensor to temperatures exceeding its rated limit. Do not drop or mechanically shock the accelerometer, as the internal crystal assembly is highly sensitive to physical damage.
