Working Principle Identical to other 3300 XL 11mm probes using the eddy current principle.
Installation Requirements
- Drill and tap mounting hole with M14x1.5 thread to a depth of at least 5mm
- The very short 5mm case provides minimal thread engagement; ensure the mounting structure is thick enough
- Apply anti-seize compound to threads
- Tighten to recommended torque of 21.1 N·m (187 in·lb), maximum 63.3 N·m (560 in·lb)
- Do not overtighten; the short case is susceptible to distortion
- Verify probe tip is at correct gap distance from target
- Route cable appropriately
- Connect with ClickLoc connector
Usage Precautions
- The short 5mm case provides minimal thread engagement; check tightness very frequently
- Do not overtighten; the short case can easily distort
- Ensure adequate mounting structure thickness for the M14x1.5 thread
