Structural Characteristics Cylindrical stainless steel case with 3/8-24 UNF external thread and 2.0 inch smooth unthreaded section. The 1.8 inch overall case length includes the threaded portion. The probe tip is at the end of the 2.0 inch extension, facing opposite to the cable exit direction (reverse mount). The integral cable exits from the threaded end of the case.

Working Principle Identical to other 3300 XL 11mm probes. The reverse mount orientation does not affect the eddy current sensing principle.

Installation Requirements

  • Drill and tap mounting hole with 3/8-24 UNF thread from the inside of the structure
  • The probe tip will face outward through the mounting hole
  • Ensure the 2.0 inch extension provides the correct tip position relative to the target
  • Maximum thread engagement is 0.563 inches; do not exceed this depth
  • Apply anti-seize compound to threads
  • Tighten appropriately; recommended torque 7.5 N·m (66 in·lb), maximum 22.6 N·m (200 in·lb)
  • Route cable from inside the structure to the Proximitor
  • Connect with ClickLoc connector
