Working Principle
Receives 20-30 Vdc input, utilizes internal DC-DC conversion circuitry with over-voltage and over-current protection, and outputs stable internal DC rails (e.g., +5V, +12V, -12V) to the rack backplane for all connected modules.
Installation Requirements
Must be installed in the left-most half-height slots of the 3500 frame. Proper grounding via the single-point ground switch on the Power Input Module (PIM) is mandatory to prevent ground loops.
Usage Notes
Ensure the external DC power supply is properly fused and regulated. Mixing legacy and new PIM modules is not permitted for this specific DC option. Always verify the input voltage polarity before energizing.
