Working Principle The housing positions the reverse mount probe at the correct gap distance from the shaft through the combined length of the 1.5 inch standoff and 3.7 inch sleeve. The explosion-proof fitting provides a flame-tight seal for conduit entry in hazardous atmospheres, preventing ignition propagation. The probe operates on standard eddy-current principles, with the 0.5 meter cable connecting to extension cables or Proximitor sensors outside the hazardous area.
