- 1.0 meter integral cable
- Standard dome cover
- 3/4-14 NPT mounting thread
Working Principle The short sleeve positions the reverse mount probe tip at minimal depth within the machine casing. The probe generates an eddy-current field that induces currents in the nearby shaft surface, with impedance changes converted to voltage signals proportional to gap distance. The housing provides mechanical support and environmental protection for this sensing element.
Installation Requirements
- 3/4-14 NPT mounting hole
- Verify 3.7 inches internal clearance
- Route cable through conduit entry
- Adjust probe to -10 Vdc
- Ensure flat mounting surface
Usage Precautions
- Very short penetration requires verification of internal obstructions
- Counterbore machine case if penetration is between 1.0 and 2.0 inches to prevent side view interference
- Ensure probe cable is not pinched during assembly
- Verify O-ring seal integrity
