Structural Characteristics The module consists of a main printed wiring assembly (PWA), a front panel assembly with integrated display, and a sheet metal housing designed for slide-in rack installation. The front panel features a vertical bargraph LCD with 63 individual segments, green OK LEDs, red Alert and Danger LEDs, and red Bypass indicators. The rear panel provides terminal connections for field wiring, recorder outputs, and buffered transducer outputs.
Working Principle The system monitor continuously polls all installed monitoring modules within the rack, collecting vibration, position, temperature, and speed data. It compares incoming values against programmed alarm setpoints, activates relay outputs when thresholds are exceeded, and maintains a real-time display of machine health status. The monitor executes power-up self-tests, cyclic RAM tests, and ROM checksum verification to detect internal failures.
Installation Requirements
- Install in the leftmost slot of a 3300/05 series rack
