Structural Characteristics: Armored FluidLoc coaxial cable with a triaxial structure. The stainless steel braided armor layer provides mechanical protection, the FluidLoc design prevents fluid migration through the cable, and a connector protector is installed externally on the ClickLoc connectors to provide environmental sealing. The multi-protection structure makes this cable suitable for the most demanding industrial environments including hazardous areas with oil exposure.
Working Principle: The extension cable serves as the signal transmission bridge in the eddy current sensor system, transmitting the high-frequency signal generated by the probe tip coil to the Proximitor without loss through the coaxial structure. The outer shielding braid of the coaxial structure prevents external electromagnetic interference from intruding, while the inner signal line maintains constant impedance. Once the signal reaches the Proximitor, it undergoes amplification, demodulation, and linearization, ultimately outputting a DC voltage signal proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the target surface.
Installation Requirements:
- Ensure the total length of the probe cable plus the extension cable strictly equals 5.0 meters or 9.0 meters
- Cable routing must maintain at least 30cm clearance from high-voltage power cables
- Maintain a minimum bend radius of 25.4mm; prohibit excessive bending
- ClickLoc connectors are hand-tightened; do not use tools
- The shielding layer must be grounded at a single point on the Proximitor end; prohibit multi-point grounding to prevent ground loops
- The connector protector must be installed after the final connection is completed to ensure sealing effectiveness
- Hazardous area installations must comply with applicable explosion-proof regulations
