Functional Features The cable features gold-plated brass ClickLoc connectors at both ends that provide audible and tactile positive locking. The triaxial 75 Ω construction ensures impedance matching throughout the system. The FEP insulation provides excellent dielectric properties and temperature resistance. The cable is fully interchangeable with other 3300 XL 11 mm system components. The standard cable jacket is suitable for general industrial environments.
Application Scenarios Turbine supervisory instrumentation cable connections, compressor monitoring system signal extension, pump vibration probe-to-sensor connections, generator shaft monitoring installations, axial position measurement system cabling, reciprocating compressor rod drop monitoring connections, industrial machinery condition monitoring networks.
Performance Parameters The cable exhibits 69.9 pF/m capacitance and maintains stable electrical characteristics across the full -52°C to +177°C temperature range. The DC resistance is precisely controlled to 1.0 ± 0.25 Ω core-to-core for the 4.0 meter length. When combined with a 1.0 meter probe, this cable creates a 5.0 meter electrical length system compatible with 5.0 meter Proximitor Sensors. The cable supports frequency response up to 8 kHz with minimal signal degradation.
Material Composition The cable uses copper conductors with FEP dielectric insulation. The shielding system consists of braided copper shields. Connector bodies are machined from brass and gold-plated for corrosion resistance and reliable electrical contact. The outer jacket is FEP. The cable is non-armored for maximum routing flexibility.
Structural Characteristics The 4.0 meter overall length is manufactured to precise electrical length tolerances. Both ends are terminated with miniature coaxial ClickLoc connectors. The cable outside diameter is 3.7 mm maximum. The construction features separate inner and outer shields for optimal noise immunity. The cable is marked with the part number and electrical length information.
Working Principle The extension cable carries the RF excitation signal from the Proximitor Sensor to the probe tip and returns the amplitude-modulated signal containing the gap distance information. The triaxial design uses the center conductor for the signal, the inner shield for the RF return path, and the outer shield for ground and EMI protection. This architecture prevents signal loss and external interference from affecting the measurement accuracy.
