Working Principle:
Identical to the full-size 3500/05 rack — the mini-rack provides the mechanical enclosure, backplane power distribution, and inter-module communication bus for all installed 3500 modules.
Installation Requirements:
- Cut a rectangular opening in the mounting panel per Bently Nevada dimensional specifications
- Secure the rack using the clips provided with the rack
- Ensure adequate rear clearance for wiring access
- Install the 3500/15 power supply and 3500/20 RIM in the leftmost two slots
- Verify that 3500/01 software version 2.70 or higher is used for configuration
Usage Notes:
- The mini-rack does not support the wall-mount installation option
- The 3500/93 System Display A01 front-panel mount option is not compatible with the mini-rack
- The 3500/06 weatherproof enclosure is not compatible with the mini-rack partition-mount option
- When installing the mini-rack inside a 19-inch EIA rack, use the 144863-01 adapter panel
