- Rack mount installation in leftmost slots (Slot 1 or Slots 1 and 2 for redundancy)
Working Principle: The module employs high-frequency switching power supply technology to convert high voltage DC input to the multiple low voltage DC outputs required by the 3500 system. In redundant configuration, two modules operate in parallel with automatic current sharing. If one module fails or loses input power, the other module seamlessly assumes the full load within milliseconds, ensuring continuous operation of the monitoring system.
Installation Requirements:
- Must be installed in the leftmost slot (Slot 1) of the 3500 rack
- For redundancy, install second module in Slot 2
- Use appropriate wire gauge copper conductors with proper crimp terminals
- Ensure correct DC polarity before connection
- Verify input voltage is within 88-140 VDC range
- Both redundant power modules must have identical input voltage range and power rating
Use Precautions:
- Absolutely verify input voltage is 88-140 VDC before connection
- Do not mix different input type power modules (e.g., -04 HVDC with -01 AC or -02 24VDC) in redundant configuration
- Check DC polarity carefully before wiring
- Perform pull-test after dual power installation: disconnect one power input and verify seamless system operation
- Ensure cabinet ventilation or add rack fans in high temperature environments (>50°C)
- Tighten terminal screws regularly (annually) to prevent loosening and oxidation
