Working Principle: The keyphasor module powers the keyphasor proximity probe, which detects a once-per-revolution pulse from a keyway or notch on the shaft. The module conditions this pulse into a clean digital signal and distributes it through the 3500 backplane to all other monitor modules. These modules use the keyphasor signal to determine shaft phase angle, calculate rotational speed, and perform synchronous vibration filtering.
Installation Requirements:
- Install in any available slot to the right of the rack interface module
- If using two 3500/25 modules, install them in the same slot (upper and lower positions)
- Connect keyphasor probe cables to the external terminal blocks
- Ensure the keyphasor probe is properly aligned with the shaft keyway or notch
Usage Precautions:
- The keyphasor signal is critical for phase-based measurements; verify signal integrity after installation
