Working Principle:
The 3500/32 module receives alarm status information from all monitor modules in the rack via the backplane bus. Each of the four relay channels has an independently programmable alarm drive logic that evaluates AND/OR combinations of alarm inputs from any channel in the rack. When the programmed logic condition is satisfied, the corresponding relay changes state, providing a hardwired output to external systems.
Installation Requirements:
- Install in any full-height slot to the right of the Transient Data Interface (TDI) module
- Install the corresponding I/O module (125720-01) in the rear slot
- Configure relay logic using 3500 Rack Configuration Software
- Set each channel’s relay to normally energized or normally de-energized mode via the hardware switch on the I/O module
