Description

Black Box ACR1000A-R2

Technical Specifications 4 computer ports and 1 user console port; DisplayPort video interface supporting resolution up to 4K at 60Hz; USB keyboard and mouse interface; audio input and output support; isolated signal paths for each computer channel; hot-key switching and push-button switching modes; power supply 12V DC external adapter; operating temperature 0°C to +40°C; certification compliant with NIAP PP 3.0 secure KVM standards.

Functional Features Isolates each connected computer channel to eliminate unauthorized data transmission between different security domains. Switches console control between four computers via front panel push buttons or keyboard hotkey commands. Supports high-resolution DisplayPort video output, USB HID keyboard and mouse pass-through, and stereo audio routing. Blocks unauthorized USB mass storage device forwarding across channels. Provides visual channel status indication for active computer selection. Supports firmware upgrade for compatibility expansion.

Application Scenarios Government classified control rooms, defense facility workstations, energy plant cybersecurity control centers, financial institution secure operation rooms, critical infrastructure network management stations.

Performance Parameters Zero signal crosstalk between isolated computer channels; consistent video quality without compression or latency; reliable USB HID peripheral detection; fast channel switching without video flicker.

Material Composition Main enclosure uses solid cold-rolled steel with matte anti-scratch coating; internal PCB substrate is FR-4 flame-retardant multilayer board; video and USB signal processing chips are industrial security-grade semiconductors; front panel push buttons use gold-plated contact switches; rear signal connectors use nickel-plated metal shells and gold-plated pin contacts.

Structural Characteristics Rack-mountable rectangular metal chassis suitable for standard 19-inch instrument cabinets. Front panel carries channel selection push buttons and LED status indicators. Rear panel mounts DisplayPort connectors, USB ports, audio jacks, DC power connector and security label seal points. Internal metal shielding partitions separate each computer signal channel physically.

Working Principle Video, USB HID and audio signals from each connected computer enter independent isolated signal circuits inside the switch. Only the selected computer channel connects electrically to the user console. Unselected channels maintain complete signal isolation to prevent data bridging. The control logic unit detects hotkey or button input and routes the selected channel’s signals to the monitor, keyboard, mouse and audio peripherals.

Installation Requirements Mount the unit on standard 19-inch equipment rack or place it on a stable desktop. Connect the user console DisplayPort monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers to the console ports. Link each host computer to the corresponding computer port with certified DisplayPort and USB cables. Apply 12V DC power from the supplied external adapter. Confirm isolation seals are intact before putting the unit into secure service.

Precautions for Use Do not remove security tamper seals in classified environments. Use only approved passive signal cables with specified maximum length. Do not connect uncertified USB devices to the console port. Avoid operating the unit outside the rated ambient temperature range. Conduct periodic isolation verification according to site security procedures.
