Technical Specifications 24V DC supply voltage; multi-channel analog 4-20mA input and output; discrete digital input and relay output channels; Modbus RTU and Ethernet communication; operating temperature range -40°C to +70°C; IP66 rated enclosure; configurable anti-surge control curves and trip setpoints.
Functional Features Collects pressure, temperature, flow and vibration measurements from compressor skid transmitters. Executes real-time anti-surge control algorithms to maintain stable compressor operating margins. Drives recycle valve actuators and auxiliary solenoids through analog and discrete outputs. Monitors lube oil pressure, seal gas supply and motor auxiliary contacts. Initiates controlled load reduction and safety shutdown when process parameters exceed trip limits. Transmits compressor operating parameters, alarm logs and surge margin values to upper-level control systems.
Application Scenarios Natural gas reciprocating compressor skids, centrifugal compressor anti-surge control, gas booster station automation, offshore compression module control, fuel gas compressor systems.
Performance Parameters High-speed control loop execution rate for anti-surge protection; fast trip response on critical process faults; stable regulation during load change; high resolution for pressure and flow measurement.
Material Composition Main control PCB is FR-4 multilayer flame-retardant industrial board; main processor and analog conversion chips are wide-temperature industrial semiconductors; relay outputs use sealed industrial relays; enclosure is coated corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy; terminal connectors are gold-plated alloy contacts.
Structural Characteristics Enclosed rectangular module suitable for skid-mounted instrument cabinets. Front panel LEDs indicate power, network communication, active alarms and control state. External terminal blocks separate analog instrument wiring, discrete contact wiring and power wiring. Internal mounting brackets secure the PCB assembly against skid vibration.
Working Principle Field transmitters send analog process signals and discrete switch signals to the module I/O circuits. The onboard controller samples these values and executes anti-surge and compressor control algorithms. The controller calculates recycle valve setpoints and outputs analog control signals to valve positioners. Safety logic continuously evaluates trip conditions and triggers relay outputs for shutdown when thresholds are violated. All operating data and fault events are packaged and transmitted to the host DCS over communication links.
Installation Requirements Install the module inside a climate-controlled compressor skid instrument cabinet. Separate analog instrument cables, discrete control cables and high-power motor wiring. Configure anti-surge curve parameters, alarm thresholds and shutdown logic in Cameron skid configuration software. Perform surge test and shutdown functional test during skid commissioning.
Precautions for Use Protect the module from compressor radiated heat and direct vibration. Use shielded twisted pair cable for all 4-20mA instrument signals. Save a full backup of compressor control parameters after commissioning.
