  • Bidirectional transparent data transmission between RS232C and RS485
  • Built-in electrical isolation to block ground loop interference
  • Automatic flow control for serial data transmission
  • Support multi-drop RS485 bus networking
  • Surge protection for communication signal terminals
  • Plug and play, no complex configuration required for basic data transfer

Application Scenarios:

  • Generator control cabinet serial signal conversion
  • Excitation regulator connecting to SCADA monitoring system
  • Industrial automation equipment serial bus networking
  • Retrofit projects upgrading old RS232 equipment to RS485 bus

Material Composition:

  • Housing: Plastic flame retardant enclosure
  • PCB: FR4 fiberglass circuit board
  • Core Chips: Serial transceiver chips, isolation chips, surge protection components
  • Terminals: Screw type copper terminals

Structural Features:

  • DIN rail mounting compact module
  • LED indicators for power, transmit and receive status
  • Separate terminal blocks for RS485 signal, RS232 port and power supply
  • Small footprint for cabinet installation

Working Principle: The module receives serial data from one port, converts electrical level and signal format, then forwards data to the other port. Galvanic isolation circuit cuts off ground potential difference between two sides to eliminate ground loop noise. Transceiver chips handle automatic direction switching for half-duplex RS485 communication.

Installation Requirements:

  • Mount on standard DIN rail inside electrical cabinet
  • Keep away from high-power contactors and inverter equipment
  • Use twisted pair cable for bus wiring
  • Install terminal resistor at the two ends of long bus
  • Apply 24VDC power supply within rated voltage range

Usage Notes:

  • Check A/B wiring polarity of bus to avoid communication failure
  • Do not exceed maximum bus node quantity and cable length
  • Avoid wiring communication cable alongside high voltage power cables
  • Check power polarity before power-on
  • Keep module surface clean from dust
