Working Principle The printer main board sends character data to the print head drive board, which controls continuous ink ejection from the nozzle; a crystal breaks ink into uniform droplets. Droplets to be printed are charged at the charging electrode and deflected by the deflection field to strike the product, while uncharged droplets return to the ink circuit. Solenoid valves control ink flow. The nozzle maintains constant ink pressure and temperature for consistent droplets.
Installation Requirements
- Stop printer and cut power
- Cantilever-mount the print head and set print distance
- Connect ink quick-connect fittings until locking click
- Insert electrical multi-pin connector
- Orient head perpendicular to product motion
- Temperature 5 °C to +45 °C
- Run nozzle cleaning and test after power-up
Precautions
- Never touch the nozzle face with hard objects
- Bleed ink circuit after head replacement
- Use genuine Domino inks and solvents
- Run head moisturizing before long shutdown
- Store spares in sealed packaging
- Periodically clean nozzle face
