Working Principle:
The motor operates as a three-phase AC synchronous servo. The drive controls the stator current to create a rotating magnetic field that drives the permanent magnet rotor. The encoder provides continuous position feedback for closed-loop control. The B1 holding brake is spring-applied and electrically released — it engages automatically when power is removed to hold the load in position.
Installation Requirements:
- Mount on a rigid, flat surface using the standard flange interface
- Connect the brake control wires to the correct drive outputs
- Verify the motor rated voltage matches the power supply (380V–480V)
- Ensure adequate ventilation around the motor for heat dissipation
- Check the axial and radial load limits in the technical manual
Usage Notes:
- The holding brake (B1) is for static load retention only — never use it for dynamic braking
- Verify the brake release voltage matches the drive output before commissioning
- Monitor motor temperature during continuous operation, especially in high-ambient-temperature environments
- Ensure the drive is configured for the P0/M1 encoder type
- Periodically inspect the brake for wear if engaged frequently
