Working Principle Field dry contact switches transmit on-off discrete signals to module channels through terminal base. Galvanic isolation circuit separates field circuit and DCS backplane circuit. On-board sampling chip detects the closing or opening state of each contact channel and converts status into digital data. Digital data is uploaded to Ovation main controller via rack backplane bus. Built-in monitoring circuit checks channel state continuously, generates fault alarm and sends alarm information to DCS system when wiring or contact abnormality is detected.
