Emerson KJ2005X1-MQ1

Product Introduction: KJ2005X1-MQ1 is a multi-function composite I/O module developed for Emerson DeltaV distributed control system. It integrates multiple types of analog and digital signal processing circuits inside one single module. It can collect field analog measurement signals and output control signals to field transmitters and actuators simultaneously. This module reduces the quantity of slots occupied inside the control cabinet and simplifies rack wiring work for medium-scale process control projects.

Description

Emerson KJ2005X1-MQ1

Technical Specifications: Operating supply voltage 24VDC. Module supports mixed signal channels including 4-20mA analog input, 4-20mA analog output and discrete digital signals. Analog signal resolution reaches 16-bit. Operating temperature range -40°C to +70°C. Storage temperature range -40°C to +85°C. Backplane communication via DeltaV proprietary bus. Isolation voltage 1500VAC between field side and control side.

Functional Features: Integrated multi-type signal processing in one module. Built-in channel diagnostics for wire break, short circuit and overrange detection. Hot-swap function, module replacement without shutting down the whole rack. Independent LED status indicator for each channel. Built-in surge suppression circuit to resist transient voltage surge from field cables. Signal isolation between field loop and DCS control backplane.

Application Scenarios: Chemical batch production workshops, food and beverage continuous production lines, water treatment automation control rooms, pulp and paper auxiliary process control, small refinery auxiliary unit control systems.

Performance Parameters: Analog signal sampling cycle 50ms. Analog measurement accuracy ±0.1%. MTBF value 410000 hours under rated operating environment. Output settling time less than 100ms for analog output channels.

Material Composition: Main circuit board adopts FR-4 flame-retardant PCB. Outer shell uses UL94-V0 black ABS flame-retardant plastic. Internal components include high-precision ADC and DAC chips, signal isolation optocouplers, surge protection diodes, stable reference voltage chips. Backplane contact pins use gold-plated copper alloy to guarantee stable electrical connection.

Structural Features: Standard single-slot plug-in structure matching DeltaV I/O backplane. Front panel contains LED indicator group and module locking latch. External detachable terminal block for field instrument wiring. Internal layout separates analog signal area and digital signal area to minimize signal crosstalk.

Working Principle: Field analog and digital signals enter the module through external terminal block. The module isolates and filters incoming signals, then converts analog signals into digital data through ADC chip. Digital data transmits to DeltaV controller via backplane bus. Control commands from controller are converted into analog output signals by DAC chip and sent to field actuators. Built-in diagnostic circuit continuously monitors each channel status and uploads fault alarm to the system.

Installation Requirements: Install into standard DeltaV I/O rack. Lock front panel latch after fully inserting the module into backplane. Route field instrument cables to terminal block and fasten terminals to specified torque value. Keep ambient relative humidity between 5% and 95% non-condensing. Ensure cabinet protective grounding is complete.

Usage Notes: Do not apply signal voltage exceeding rated range to field terminals. Keep away from strong vibration, corrosive gas and conductive dust environment. Do not disassemble module housing arbitrarily, no user-serviceable components inside. Check terminal block tightness periodically to avoid loose wiring causing signal interruption.
