Material Composition
Enclosed in a rugged die-cast aluminum housing designed to withstand G3-class harsh environments, providing excellent shielding against high dust levels and strong electromagnetic interference.
Structural Characteristics
Compact dimensions of 140mm × 165mm × 45mm with a lightweight design of 0.6 kg. Features comprehensive front-panel status LEDs and robust rear communication interfaces.
Operating Principle
The 32-bit RISC processor continuously polls connected I/O modules, executes high-speed control algorithms, and transmits processed data over the redundant 100Mbps Ethernet network. In redundant configurations, it uses bit-by-bit matching to ensure seamless failover without process disruption.
Installation Requirements
Must be installed on a compatible Foxboro 200 Series baseplate. The control cabinet must maintain adequate ventilation and a low-impedance protective earth ground to enhance noise immunity.
Usage Precautions
When configuring hot-standby redundancy, ensure primary and backup modules have identical firmware versions. Always follow standard ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) handling procedures during installation or replacement.
