- Long-term stability and accuracy in harsh environments
- Material and Structural Characteristics:
- Housing: Sturdy extruded aluminum enclosure with front-panel indicators
- Connectors: High-density industrial connectors for fieldbus and I/O wiring
- PCB: Industrial-grade PCB with conformal coating options
- Working Principle:
- Each channel conditions the input thermocouple or mV signal and digitizes it using a sigma-delta ADC. The RTD compensation channel measures the terminal block temperature to provide cold-junction compensation. Data is transmitted over the 2 Mbps module fieldbus to the controller.
- Installation Requirements:
- Install in a DIN-rail or baseplate designed for 200 series FBM modules
- Connect thermocouple or mV field wiring via the terminal block
- Configure input types, ranges, and filtering parameters via engineering tools
- Ensure correct wiring polarity and shielding for noisy environments
- Usage Notes:
- Use thermocouple extension wire compatible with the input type and application
- Verify configuration of thermocouple type and compensation settings
- Periodically verify accuracy against reference measurements
- Observe grounding and isolation guidelines to maintain measurement integrity
