Working Principle
Under normal conditions, the breaker’s contacts remain closed. During an overload, a bimetallic strip heats up and bends to trip the mechanism. During a short circuit, an electromagnetic solenoid instantly forces the contacts open. The arc chute then safely extinguishes the resulting electrical arc.
Installation Requirements
Must be installed in a compatible GE panelboard or enclosure rated for 600VAC. Requires proper torque specifications for line and load terminal connections.
Usage Precautions
Always verify the system voltage and load current do not exceed the breaker’s 600VAC / 45A ratings. Strictly adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
